Here’s how to access your annuity benefit:

First, make sure you qualify to receive your annuity benefit. If you fit into one of the following categories, you’re ready to begin receiving your annuity payments:

• You’re 65+ and receiving pension or Social Security
• You’re retiring early (ages 55-65)
• You’re 72+ and still working
• You’ve been out of covered work for a year or more
• You’re on permanent disability

Next, download and complete the annuity application from our website. An important note: you must apply for your benefit at least 30 days, but at most 90 days, before the first month you are eligible to receive your Annuity Benefit. You’ll need to provide 3 forms of ID to receive both your pension and annuity payments: a birth certificate, a social security card, and a state ID.

Then, all you have to do is send in your application! You can email it to Annuity@mlbf.org, fax it to 781-272-2226, or mail it to 1400 District Ave, Ste 200, Burlington, MA 01803. 

If approved to take out your annuity benefits, you’ll receive your first payment around 30 days after sending in your application. Congratulations on your retirement!
