Care that travels with you for the holidays

Published On: December 12, 2025

Traveling for the holidays? If you’re away from home and need medical attention for a non-life-threatening issue, skip the ER. Urgent Care centers can save you time and money — and they’re easy to find wherever you go.

WHEN TO VISIT URGENT CARE

  • Cold, flu, or fever symptoms
  • Minor cuts, sprains, or burns
  • Mild allergic reactions
  • Stomach pain or dehydration

Urgent care centers are open evenings and weekends, have expert treatment, and may cost less than a trip to the ER.

If you suspect an injury or illness could be life-threatening, call 911 immediately.

HOW TO FIND URGENT CARE WHEREVER YOU ARE
You can locate in-network urgent care centers whether you’re at home or traveling. Here’s how:

Use the BCBSMA “Find a Doctor” Website

  • Go to member.bluecrossma.com/fad
  • Select Urgent Care Center
  • Choose Advantage Blue as your network
  • Refine your results by choosing Limited Services Clinics or Urgent Care Center under Specialties
  • Filter by location to find care near you while traveling
