Jonathan Ashwell LEAN Recovery Specialist
Born and raised in Agawam, MA, Jonathan now lives in Somers, Connecticut, but still proudly calls Massachusetts home. Though living just across the state line, nearly all of his work keeps him rooted in Massachusetts.
When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find him enjoying sports, either watching or playing. A lifelong soccer player, Jonathan now plays indoor soccer as a goalkeeper. These days, his favorite pastime is cheering on his two kids, ages eight and ten, as they explore their own interests. Whether it’s sports, school activities, or simply watching them grow up, Jonathan says spending time with his kids “puts things into perspective.”
A passionate Boston sports fan—except when it comes to his New York Giants—Jonathan credits Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor for that loyalty. Jonathan is not shy about bringing up Eli Manning’s success against the New England Patriots.
Jonathan draws daily inspiration from members. “Helping someone build a better life and get into recovery—that’s what keeps the fuel going,” he says, noting that he was helping people long before it became his career. “If I wasn’t doing this, I’d still be doing this.”
Looking ahead, Jonathan’s focus is on raising his kids to be thoughtful, grounded, and aware of the world around them. He hopes to “help them see the bigger picture.”
Three words to describe Jonathan: understanding, empathetic, and light-hearted.
