July 1 Plan Changes: Behavioral Health Update

Published On: May 22, 2026

Starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) coverage will include all behavioral health and substance use services.

What’s changing?
Previously, these services were handled by Uprise Health (HMC Healthworks). Beginning July 1, they will move to BCBSMA.

What stays the same?
Your benefits are not changing. This update puts your medical and behavioral health coverage under one network to make care easier to use.

What this means for you:

  • Simplified access: One phone number and one network for all care.
  • More provider options: A larger network across Massachusetts and Northern New England.
  • Faster support: Quicker connection to care when you need it.

What do you need to do?

  • Most members do not need to take any action. If you are receiving outpatient treatment, your provider is likely already in-network with BCBSMA.
  • If you are currently receiving care at a higher level, support will be provided to help ensure continuity of care.

Want to find a provider?

  • You can search for a provider through the MyBlue app or by visiting member.bluecrossma.com/fad and selecting EPO as your network. There, you can find in-network providers, filter by location or specialty, and review details to choose the right fit.
  • 24/7 Crisis Support: If you are experiencing a crisis, contact Spring Health’s Clinical Crisis Hotline at 1-855-629-0554 (option 2), available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
