Laborers’ Mental Health Matters! 🧠💪

Published On: September 21, 2023

Working in construction is tough stuff, no doubt. The long hours, physical demands, and pressure can weigh us down. But here’s the deal: it’s okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes. And when you do, reach out for help.

As a Laborer, you can access any of these programs at no cost to you:

  • 988 hotline:  available 24/7 for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress – whether that is thoughts of suicide or substance use crisis or any other kind of emotional distress. You can also dial 988 if worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.
  • Laborers’ Support Network (en español or em português): Whether you’re struggling with grief, family issues, or mental health challenges, you might want someone to talk to. The Laborers’ Support Network is available to help you find someone to listen and provide support.
  • 24/7 Telehealth Services: Through our telehealth program, you can talk with someone about everyday stress and anxiety, consult a physician for minor medical or emotional health concerns, and more. Visit MDLive from your MyCigna.com dashboard to sign up.

There’s no shame in talking about our feelings or seeking help. It’s a sign of strength, not weakness!

Remember, you’re not alone in this journey. Reach out, talk it out, and build a stronger, happier, and healthier future!
