Dental Benefits Now Cover Nighttime Mouth Guards
Your Health & Welfare benefit has always been here to help you sleep through the night, but starting this year, we can now do it literally. As of this January, the Health & Welfare Fund’s Plan A dental benefits will now cover mouth guards to treat nighttime teeth grinding.
Teeth grinding can be caused by a variety of factors, the most common being stress. If left untreated, nighttime grinding can lead to headaches, jaw soreness, or more serious complications. Thanks to this new benefit, the Fund will cover 80% of the cost of your mouth guard when you go through a participating Delta Dental Provider.
Mouth guards are limited to one per individual every three years. Talk to your dentist if you think you might be grinding your teeth in your sleep.
We know these are stressful times, but that doesn’t mean you should have to pay more for your dental care.
